Horse Agistment is a term derived from the old English laws of agistment, where a cattle owner pays a land owner to graze cattle on their land. This practice first began way back when the King would charge the people money for grazing their cattle on his land. These days, however, horse agistment is simply when a horse owner pays a land owner to keep the horse on the land and allow it to graze. Having said that, there are also a lot of variations to these agreements.

The American Hippotherapy Association (AHA) uses being around horses, and being involved in movement with horses to move forward therapeutic goals in the treatment of both children and adults. Using horses to assist in therapy is relatively new, but is a growing therapeutical tool.
This therapy joins other exciting and promising therapies and supports involving animals. For example, recently there has been a surge in service animals beyond the traditional canine (for example, miniature horses and monkeys) as well as a rethinking of how traditional support animals such as dogs can be trained to assist other populations.

The Arabian horse is a mighty horse bread which has developed in the Arabian Peninsula for the past couple of thousand years. The horses reflect all that is good in horses; strength, bravery, beauty and endurance.
The Bedouins were a nomadic people who are given credit for first taming the Arabian horse. The Bedouins made every effort to protect the purity of these horses, and many could trace back the lineage of the horses they owned. During this time, it was critical to have a horse which was strong, fast, and courageous. It also had to be capable of surviving in the desert environment. The Bedouin tribes were constantly at war with other tribes in the region, and it was necessary to have a horse which could lead them into battle.

When riding horses, it can be quite difficult to judge how the horse or pony will react to the traffic on the road. Unless you are fairly experienced with that particular horse and are aware of all his reactions, there are a few little ways you can adopt to get him used to traffic when riding out.
Distracting your horse or pony and moving his attention and concentration away from the oncoming vehicles and onto you will help reduce the likelihood of him bolting in the middle of the road or dancing about in an uneasy manner.
