There are several western saddle makers to choose between when you are deciding on getting a new western saddle. The saddles can run as low as a couple of hundred to above 2 thousand greenbacks. These saddles are not even custom-made. Custom made saddles can easily run you 5,000 and even more.

There are many different brands to choose between. The styles can alter just as much. Having the ability to buy the right saddle for you takes a bit of educating yourself on the different brands, style and feel of the different western saddles that are open to you. You may be restricted by the price range as to what you can get.

The cheaper end of the price range can be just a couple of hundred bucks. These saddles are excellent for someone who cannot afford plenty of saddle. This does not actually mean that you’ll not find a good saddle in this price range. These saddles can take 3 months or merely a little more.

You can find some saddles that are from a few hundred to around 1000 bucks. They can simply take close to a year to make. The saddle maker should be in a position to tell you a good approximation of when the saddle will be done. If they tell you slightly in about a year or so, then get them to nail it down better.

The next range is from the thousand bucks and up price range. These saddles usually have more of the details. But the design on this level will be more tailored towards what you need. No matter what level is your price range; price shouldn’t be your sole consideration.

This doesn’t need to be a large name maker. If the name is all that matters to you then you may not have an issue with that wait. If you would like to have your saddle earlier, then there are plenty of quality little western saddle makers that can make a gorgeous saddle for you. A large amount of them are prize winning too.
